Mosh Pit (Training Grounds)

Quick-match combat across seven custom modes. Bring a kit, earn killstreaks, dominate the bracket. Maps rotate, parties queue together, every match is its own war.

Mosh Pit (Training Grounds) is the arcade arm of The Crucible — built for fast queues and varied combat. Where The Crucible is a slow-burn elimination tournament and the Shroud is a high-risk extraction run, Mosh Pit (Training Grounds) is the 10-minute match. Pick a mode. Bring a kit. Fight. Reload. Fight again.

Every mode is custom-built — no resource packs required, no third-party plugins, everything tuned for the Crucible's combat baseline. Three maps rotating today, more shipping every couple weeks.

Pick Your Fight

Every Mosh Pit (Training Grounds) match is one of these. Each has its own win condition, team setup, and tempo.

Search & Destroy

S&D

Round-based, one life per round. Attackers plant the bomb at one of two sites; Defenders defuse or eliminate. First team to 4 round wins takes the match. Teams swap sides every round.

Team Deathmatch

TDM

Two teams, respawn-based combat. First team to 25 kills wins; time-cap goes to whoever's ahead. Kits + killstreaks + tab-list kill counters — pure team firefight.

Capture the Flag

CTF

Steal the enemy flag, return it home. Carrier glows + takes Slowness I so defenders can hunt them. Three captures wins the match.

Domination

Dom

Three capture zones (A/B/C). Hold zones to accumulate score. Contested zones pause; outnumbering reverses the cap. First team to 100 wins.

One in the Chamber

OITC

FFA bow combat. Every hit is an instant kill. A kill refills your arrow. First to 15 kills wins. Pure aim, no second chances.

Sumo

Sumo

Knockoff brawl. Knockback I stick, polished-blackstone platform, lava floor. Last player standing wins. No PvP damage — you only win by yeeting opponents off the edge.

Spleef

Spleef

Break the snow under your opponents to drop them into the void. Three stacked snow platforms shrinking as you fall — punch through to the next, fall past the bottom and you're out. Iron shovel only.

Kits & Killstreaks

Every mode (except Sumo & Spleef) gives you a kit and tracks your kill streak. Earn rewards mid-match by stringing kills together.

18 Custom Kits

Tuned for fast combat. Some are familiar Crucible kits with Mosh Pit (Training Grounds)-specific stat changes; others are exclusive to the arcade modes.

  • Archer — Power II / Punch II / Infinity bow + wood sword. Ranged dominance.
  • Phantom — 10s invisibility on a 45s cooldown. Armor hidden during stealth.
  • Thor — Right-click lightning strike on your crosshair target.
  • Demoman — 3 proximity-triggered TNT mines per round.
  • Vampire — Kills heal you to full HP.
  • Endermage — 8-block forward blink, 15s cooldown.
  • + 12 more — pick via the in-game /kit menu.

4 Killstreak Tiers

Life-based — resets on death. Stack kills to earn each tier. If you hit 7+ in one life you get all three earlier rewards too.

  • 3 kills — UAV. Every enemy player glows for 15 seconds.
  • 5 kills — Predator Missile. One-shot targeted explosion at any block within 80 blocks.
  • 7 kills — Chopper Gunner. 30 seconds airborne with a Power V / Infinity bow.
  • 15 kills — Tactical Nuke. Your team wins. The map ends in a hail of falling TNT.

Three Battlegrounds

Each map is custom-built. More are in active rotation each release.

Nuketown

The classic mid-range arena — symmetrical houses, line-of-sight chokes, multi-level interiors. Tight combat, hard to camp.

Shooting Gallery

A long-axis firing range with multi-level walkways and cover lanes. Built for sight-lines — rewards positioning, punishes greed.

Raid

A sprawling military compound with multi-floor interiors, exterior rooftops, and vertical bomb sites. The largest map in rotation — rotations matter.

Enter Mosh Pit (Training Grounds)

Spawn in the hub, look for the Mosh Pit (Training Grounds) NPC or hit /moshpit play — you'll be dropped into a lobby with vote pads for the next match.
