Locate the Shroud portal in your overworld base or at the central hub. Your overworld inventory is automatically saved. You enter the dimension with nothing but your wits and an Exit Finder compass.
Shroud Crystal Ore veins spawn throughout the Shroud world underground, between Y=20 and Y=55. Break them to collect Shroud Crystals. Each vein drops 1 to 2 crystals. The more you mine, the bigger the potential payout.
Crystals drop at death — PvP is enabledThree exit platforms are scattered around the map — stone base, iron inlays, gold block centre, sea lanterns at the corners. Right-click your compass to lock it onto the nearest one and see the distance. Platform locations change every reset.
Stand still on the gold block at the centre of an exit platform for 10 consecutive seconds. Your HUD counts down. Move and it resets. Reach zero and your crystals convert to Coins instantly — your overworld inventory is restored and you are returned to the surface.
10 seconds still — do not moveEvery second inside the Shroud, your action bar shows three pieces of critical information.
Your live Shroud Crystal count. This is what you stand to lose if you die — and what you will convert if you extract.
Cardinal direction and distance to the nearest exit platform. Right-click the Exit Finder compass to lock the needle and pin the distance.
Time until the world resets. Turns yellow at 5 minutes, red at 2 minutes. When it hits zero, you are evicted with nothing.
Crystal extraction is not just an individual effort. Factions compete to dominate the weekly rankings.
At the end of each week, the faction that has collectively extracted the most Shroud Crystals earns exclusive server rewards. More members running The Shroud means more crystals, and a stronger grip on the leaderboard.
Coordinate your faction's runs. Protect your members inside. Steal crystals from rivals. The Grand Council is watching — and they reward the strongest.

Faction with the most crystals extracted per week earns exclusive rewards
Paid out instantly on successful extraction. Die before reaching an exit platform and you keep nothing.
Every reset spawns the same encounters at randomized locations across the map. Easier first — the boss-tier fights at the bottom assume you've geared up.
Scattered ritual sites with a sacrificial altar. Interact to trigger a short ritual that summons a handful of low-tier Shroud mobs — cull them to claim a small Ember reward. The easiest XP in the Shroud; safe to clear solo while you scout the map.
An abandoned wreck guarded by Shroud raiders. Approach and the ambush triggers — multiple mobs spawn around the caravan and attack on contact. Survive the wave to loot the supplies. Doable solo with care, much easier with a teammate watching your back.
An Evoker boss in a stone chapel. Three phases — the Priest casts Soul Bolts and Hex Pulses, then withdraws into a Devout Shield phase at each HP threshold, summoning ring-formation Vindicators ("The Devout") that you must kill to drop the shield. A 3-second telegraph warns you before each Devout wave spawns — back off the spawn rings or eat axes.
A multi-wave fortress encounter. Three waves of escalating mob composition culminating in a final boss fight. Wave 2 introduces an Ashbound Ravager as a melee bruiser. Highest single Shroud reward — but the trial is long and dying mid-fight forfeits everything.
The Shroud's apex encounter — a phased boss arena with the densest enemy composition in the realm. Rewards are highest, risk is total. Best attempted with a full party near the end of the cycle, after you've cleared the other sites.
Beyond the bosses, the Shroud spawns custom mobs across the open map — tougher than vanilla, with custom AI and loot.
Roaming skeleton variants with custom bow accuracy. Spawn in open terrain, hunt in pairs. Will retreat to cover if you close on them.
Threat: Low — MediumBulked-up zombie variants with high HP and slow movement. Spawn around ore veins. Mining a vein draws them in.
Threat: MediumVindicators summoned during the Black Priest's shielded phases. Iron axes, 30 HP, faster than vanilla. Always spawn in a ring around the priest.
Threat: Medium (encounter-only)Wave 2 of the Hollow Keep encounter. A single high-HP bruiser with knockback resistance. Tanks aggro while the other waves trickle in.
Threat: High (encounter-only)Triggered ambush mobs at the Shattered Caravan site. Mixed melee + ranged. Spawn as a single wave on approach.
Threat: Medium (encounter-only)Rare apex predator. Roams the deepest reaches of the Shroud. Slows you with its aura at close range. Drops on first sighting — bait it, don't melee it.
Threat: Very HighThe Shroud resets on a strict one-hour clock. The world is deleted and regenerated fresh — new terrain, new ore veins, new exit platform locations.
